say hello to my wittle frewn

"there were always in me, two women at least, one woman desperate and bewildered, who felt she was drowning and another who would leap into a scene, as upon a stage, conceal her true emotions because they were weaknesses, helplessness, despair, and present to the world only a smile, an eagerness, curiosity, enthusiasm, interest."

i don't really like binaries, but sometimes they're appropriate, and sometimes you have to make a distinction to see the cracks.

daul kim (http://iliketoforkmyself.blogspot.com/)...

she hung herself, and i've been rereading her blog entries ever since. Her cognitive dissonance is evident in her posts--this delicate enigma that is both juvenile and analytical. She's indulgent and fucked up, but she speaks to me. longing to be domesticated, she has no home, and entertains the idea of comfort and security over her fast paced lifestyle of travel, glamour, and free hand bags. her writings ring true: all she wants is a stable, long lasting commitment with one person, which many believe to be quite regressive to admit as a young woman in her industry. She seems to be just a conflicted ingenue dealing with the anxieties of modern life and growing up too fast. if i were to make a movie about her life, it would be called "bored and fabulous." Cheeky yes, but also heavy, like metals, filled with grief for love or religion, because unless you believe in it, you'll never receive it.

Here are some excerpts:

On protons:

The proton is a subatomic particle with an electric charge of +1 elementary charge. It is found in the nucleus of each atom, along with neutrons, but is also stable by itself and has a second identity as the hydrogen ion, H+. It is composed of three fundamental particles: two up quarks and one down quark.[3]

On wisdom teeth:

in korea
we say love tooth instead of wisdom tooth
because
it happens when you know how to love
or ... [are] old enough to know love

I guess i'm fortunate i still have mine.
