Sara Cwynar

Sara Cwynar (b.1985, Vancouver) is a Toronto-based artist working in photography, book-making and digital media. She is in her final year of a degree in graphic design and photography at York University. She also studied English at the University of British Columbia. Cwynar’s work deals with themes of absurdity and kitsch. She recently furthered her practice assisting the photographer Ryan McGinley in New York City. Her work has been featured in The New York Times magazine.
