Check out the Legend on the back of the bottle:
It is with pride that we present our new Organic dressing as originated by Dopelito Newmano III in Naples in 1892. Dope, as he was affectionately known, was the revered organist who raised sheltered veggies in his private garden, and every evening at sundown he would play special organ music he composed for his crops which grew, of course, melodiously. But Dope's organ music disappeared and only recently was it excavated, along with some Roman remains, on the Via Veneto. The music has now been inherited by his great nephew, Paolito Newmano, and is being played on organs in all Newman's Own factories, thereby ensuring an organic content that virtually sings as it anoints your salad.
Paulito Newmano
WOW. WTF. First off, Paul Newman wishes he were a guido. Secondly, who wrote this crap? The more I read it, the more I like it. Way to go campy writers over at Newman's Own!
